I wanted to share a recent experience with my Fortwo in a bad snowstorm earlier this year.

We had blizzard conditions and about a foot of snow, which is unusual for Long Island. I cleaned off my Smart and drove to work while the storm was still dumping snow on us. As soon as I got to the highway I realized just how bad the roads really were. There was strong winds and drifting snow and hardly anyone was on the road other than 4x4 trucks and plows. My Smart just kept on going through the worst of it without the slightest problem. In fact, I was seeing other vehicles including SUVs sliding all over the road but every time I thought the car should slide, it would correct itself and keep driving straight (thanks to the great safety systems). I was absolutely amazed at how well it got me through that storm. In fact, when I had gotten to work, no one was there because they couldn't get out of their driveway! The only person there was the maintenance person plowing the lot, he was quite amazed when I showed up!
