Dear smart USA,
Being a police officer, I was a bit leery about the smart car's safety in an accident, but like most of you, I watched the videos online and made the commitment. I purchased my smart fortwo and sure enough, six days after I picked it up, I was driving one block from my house when a child ran out from between two cars. The smart stopped on a dime, however the Volvo behind me did not. The sixteen year old driver hit me while traveling approximately 25 miles per hour, and boy did it mess up that Volvo!!! The worse part of the accident was that the drink I was holding spilled all over the new interior. I got out without a scratch and asked the neighbor for some paper towels to clean up the mess. The seats in the smart are fantastic, I did not experience any pain or stiffness after the accident!!
Thanks for making a quality product...Now I have to figure out how to buy one for my 15 year old son who will be driving next year!!!
