Bryce's story
My name is Bryce, I'm 20, and LOVE my Smart ForTwo! Since I was one of the first to buy a Smart, I had to wait two years. Since I didn't want to wait, a dealer in Houston Texas contacted me telling me they had one available. I flew to Texas and instantly fell in love with the car. I purchased the vehicle and got onto the freeway to drive my little black Smart back to California. About fifteen minutes after getting on the freeway I was rear ended going about 70mph by a car that was also rear ended by another driver. The first driver didn't see that traffic was stopping so he hit the Ford Taurus in front of me causing the Taurus to hit me. My Smart lurched forward and I was sure he really messed up the back of my car because of the impact. When I exited the car the first thing I noticed was the two other drivers car. The first car, the Ford Mustang, had it's bumper torn off and the front end pretty much unrecognizable. The second car that hit me, the Ford Taurus, had the same damage (a bumper that was ready to fall off and broke headlights). BUT, my Smart on the other hand, had only a couple nicks. I'll say it again, ONLY A COUPLE NICKS! It was amazing! The highway patrol and the two other people were so amazed at the lack of damage to my car. I eventually made it back to California (getting 44mpg too!) and was contacted by the guy who hit me. He said the total repairs came out to about $2,500. I got an estimate for the Smart and it was only $250! I eventually sold the car to my mom and bought another! I LOVE my Smart!
